With our Insurance you have Worldwide Cover providing you are not going to a country with Sanctions or traveling to a country against the Home Offices’s advice. For Liability insurance, Claims must be brought against you under UK Jurisdiction for cover to operate. Personal accident cover is a benefits policy and therefore this cover will not go through a court to be operative.
This Insurance arranged by the BKSA does not include travel insurance cover and you will need to purchase this separately if you’re travelling.
If you have any troubles joining online, there’s always someone happy to help in the office either e-mail [email protected] or call the office on 01305 813555.
We have changed the way we distribute these, they are now issued to those wanting one from your local BKSA affiliated club (this is due to a high increase in postage costs & the BKSA wanting the reduction of 1 use plastic footprint)
Yes all members are entitled to one.
From your local BKSA club, or direct from us if you’re not a member of an affiliated club.
There’s a list of clubs on our website, click on clubs, find a club.
No problem, contact the BKSA office via mail/phone one can then be sent direct to you.
This tag is valid for 2020, don’t worry! If you do require another new one contact the office.
As per the governement advice, we would expect members not to travel to these ‘essential travel only countries’. The insurance cover would only respond in the event they are travelling to a country, which is approved by the government at the time of travel.
If a member is away in a country that was exempt from the ‘essential travel only list’ at the time of travel, but then subsequently is added to the list and requires you to quarantine on the return to the UK, insurance coverage would not respond from the time of the updated government advice.
Please make sure you check the countries that are exempt from the “essential travel only list’ prior to travel.
Please note that offline memberships have to be entered onto our system manually. You will not be covered under our insurance policy until we have received your cheque and it has cleared – if it is returned you are no longer covered. For Instant cover please purchase online.
