Access East Coast – your Feedback needed
The Marine Management Organisation (MMO) has designated the East Coast between Flamborough Head in East Yorkshire and Felixstowe in Suffolk to be the first area in England to benefit from the new marine planning system. Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) believe it is vital that recreational water use sites on the East Coast are protected from potentially harmful developments that may arise in the plans. To ensure this is possible, we would like to speak to anyone who uses the area for any coastal activity so that we can designate the beaches and parts of the coast that are important to recreation. This will be done through a five minute phone call which will include an interactive mapping session. Details from the session will then be collated along with other important information and sent to the MMO so that SAS can be alerted if any designated areas fall under a potentially harmful development plan.
If you use the East Coast for any activity and would like to help protect the beaches important to you, please email [email protected] for more information.
