BKSA Honorary Solicitor

British Kite Sports is looking to appoint a candidate to fill the role of Honorary Solicitor to the Association, a post which is currently vacant. The role – which is unpaid – is to advice the Association on legal matters and where external legal help is needed, to select, instruct and supervise external counsel.

The matters on which the advice of the Hon. Solicitor will be sought are expected to include board procedure and governance; keeping the articles of the Association up to date; reviewing notices of meetings/proxy forms; dealing with litigation/threats of litigation; advising on disciplinary matters; reviewing/drafting contracts; reviewing the Association’s policies of insurance; and liaising on legal matters with other stakeholders e.g. Sport England, RYA, ISAF and overseas governing bodies.  Anyone interested in applying for the post should contact [email protected]
