KiteRight’s 1st birthday: Kitesports charity celebrates first year in business
KiteRight are a new charity who’ve made quite in impact in their first year. They held their first Birthday party on the 9th of March at Bournemouth University and I was lucky enough to attend. Thankfully, this first birthday didn’t feature any tantrums or balloon animals, (although I do quite like balloon animals) just lots inspiring kids and adults.
The always inspiring Jenny Ridley flew in from Ireland for the event and I have to say I was blown away by her attitude and her amazing strength. We did a story on Jenny in our news section last year: Jenny Ridley. She was one of many people who came to talk about these amazing sports and how they have made them a part of their lives. Our very own Richard Gowers also took the stand for a while (that was a bit boring 😉 !), and Cabrinha were there to help show kids and adults with a range of disabilities how to fly kites.
