The unspoilt Cas-en-Bas beach on the beautiful, tropical Island of St Lucia offers perfect conditions for kitesurfing. It is located on the very north of the island on the Atlantic ocean, so it benefits from the breezy, warm trade winds. The ‘C’ shaped bay is protected from an outer reef so is great for both beginner and advanced kiters. There are two excellent kitesurfing schools located on the beach that offer rentals and lessons for all levels and styles: Aquaholics St Lucia, and Kitesurfing St Lucia.
If you’re feeling thirsty or hungry, visit Marjorie’s Restaurant and Beach Bar right in the middle of the beach where you can grab a cold beer and sample some delicious local cuisine after your lessons!
‘Cotton Bay’ beach front resort is the only place offering accommodation on the bay so is obviously the most convenient place to stay. It is literally a minute’s walk along the beach, so offers an excellent position.
