Lancing 2012 Course Racing

BKSA assisted Lancing Kitesurfing Club hold a taster course racing event on the 16-Sept. Richard Gower & Peter Shaw came to Lancing with all their equipment and expertise. We had a over-subscribe field of 33 racers. At 12:00 we had 5MPH NW… but we had a promising forecast and pumped the bouys and set the course accordinly. After a couple of hours of hanging around the wind had built to a solid 20mph. We put on 2 Upwind races for each class ( Twin TipSurf BoardRace Board )… and finally 2 across the wind races for each category.
 

This event was a taster to see if there was appetite for a series of race’s in 2013… the answer was a resounding yes, and we are currently coordinating with a number of different groups to create a “Sussex Series” in 2013. So please watch this space!
