Steph World Tour Update
Steph Bridge has returned from the 3rd round on the PKRA Kitesurf Race tour in Portugal with a 1st place position.
The event was the 3rd stop on the world tour and took place over 5 days in Portimao on the Algarve. Kitesurfers came from as far afield as Brazil to take part in this increasingly popular sport.
Kitesurf course racing is similar to dinghy racing where kitesurfers race around a course that involves all points of Sail.
Steph’s background in Dinghy sailing since a young age,(father is the legend ‘Spud Rowsell’) along with many years kitesurfing experience all assist her in the mission to defend her world title.
Steph has been working with sponsors North Kiteboarding to make a kite race board & kite that goes faster and bettter than anything else.
Steph is next heading to the Canary Islands at the end of July and then for the final Grand Slam in Germany for a megga 10 day event where the world title will be decided.
Steph is also sponsored by Xcel Wetsuits,The Big Blue project, Edge Watersports and Chiemsee clothing.
