Suremen Deodorant
Suremen Deodorant contacted me a while back to get some kitesurfing footage of me for there new Product. It’s a new product that is positioned around extreme sports including kayaking, mountain biking, motocross and of course where I come in Kitesurfing. The shoot took place last Tuesday (3rd Of April) We got really lucky with the weather, when I mean lucky prior to this day there had been no wind for 4 weeks!!!! The shooting went superb, they had GoPro’s all over me and used some fancy camera cranes/jibs to get the shots they were after.
The end result is an interactive game where consumers can enter an extreme race in one the sports mentioned above. Consumers enter a code from their can and use this as the game controller – simply if they ‘beat the elements’, they win £10. The whole creative is positioned around SureMen’s key messages of adrenaline, confidence and the passion point of adventure. To help bring the online game to life Freddie Flintoff the famous England Cricketer is seen to be playing the games and getting involved. The aim of the videos is to essentially bring each sport to life with some tongue-in-cheek/ cool videos that the SureMen audience will share online, encouraging people to have a go at the game. The video when complete will be sold into men’s lifestyle media, national news and national online websites as well as sport websites. I’ll include the video and any other coverage in the next updates!!
Official Opening of Worthing’s brand new Visitor Information Centre
I am so I am so proud of my home town they really are keeping up with the times. Kitesurfing has been embraced by the council in a really positive way, it really is bringing visitors to the town! The launch of the new Worthing Visitor Information Centre took place on March the 13th. I was invited to cut the tape along with the Mayor and the CEO of Visit England. It was an incredible day for me, I never could of imagined 5 years ago that I would be so involved in promoting the good values of my town. The photos say it all with my board above my head it was a real achievement! The 2012 Worthing & Adur Tourism Industry Forum followed upstairs where I spoke alongside Rebecca Richardson my PR/Athlete Manager about the Big Air Open Kiteboarding event taking place in July. There is nothing I like more then communicating kitesurfing to people and the presentation went great. When you have such an interesting subject as Kitesurfing you can’t lose!
Kiteworld Magazine/ Splash Fm
Coverage keeps coming in from my trip away to Capetown. Kiteworld Magazine have really taken a shine to my style of riding and the images which we captured. Another shot was included last month in issue 56 as one of the three Background Wallpapers available to download. Take a look here https://www.kiteworldmag.com/wallpaper/issue-56/ if you fancy a nice new background!
Also Splash FM my local radio station had me in recently too, talking all about my Kitesurfing career and especially the Big Air Open event. It’s really creating a stir amongst the town, and I think its brilliant that through this event Kitesurfers and the public will be brought together. Everybody loves big air!
